WE HAVE EXACTLY ONE PERSON DOING RESCUE NOW, INCLUDING ALL FOSTERING.
We prefer that you keep your pug at your home and we send you referrals who have applied to pug rescue. You must perform additional screening of any potential adopters that we refer to you.
If for some reason you can no longer keep your pug, please contact us at pug_info AT inwpr DOT net. In the email, please include your name, address, phone number and some details about your pug or pug (age, sex, neutered/spayed, health). We will send you a release of ownership form and email you regarding the best time to come pick up your pug and transport him or her to a foster home. You should have the pug's medical records including rabies certificate and this form signed and ready when we come to pick up the pug.
Bear in mind that pugs are much more adoptable if they are spayed/neutered. have been to the vet within the past year and had a bath recently.
If you find a stray or injured pug please contact your local animal control. For legal reasons, attempts must first be made to find the owner. We are happy to work with local animal control agencies.
NOTE: It is extortion to threaten to euthanize or shoot your pug if we do not come and pick it up right away. Please refrain from making these kinds of statements.
